Guardian ad Litem services involve gathering information from all relevant sources, evaluating the circumstances of the case, and providing objective findings and recommendations to assist the Court in making informed decisions.
Services Include
- Interviews with the child or ward, parents, guardians, family members, and other relevant individuals
- Home, residential, or facility visits and review of court, medical, educational, financial, and other pertinent records
- Communication with collateral witnesses, caregivers, treatment providers, educators, and other professionals
- Assessment of the needs, safety, well-being, and best interests of the child or ward
- Written reports, recommendations, ongoing advocacy as ordered by the Court, and court testimony when requested or required
